KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 11 2012 - Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak today attended the Aidilfitri open house of the Ministry of Women, Family and Community Development (KPWKM) at Felda's Dewan Perdana here.
Najib, who is also Women, Family and Community Development Minister, arrived at about 1pm with his wife Datin Seri Rosmah Mansor and were received by the ministry's deputy minister, Datuk Heng Seai Kie.
Najib and Rosmah also distributed "duit raya" to 500 people comprising the disabled, senior citizens, orphans, Muslim converts and single mothers at the funtion.
The Prime Minister and his wife spent more than an hour with staff of the ministry at the event themed "Colours of Aidilfitri."
In the spirit of Aidilfitri, Rosmah sang a song entitled "Seri Dewi Malam" to entertain guests at the event.
Also present at the event which was attended by some 3,000 people were Deputy Foreign Minister A. Kohilan Pillay, Deputy Agriculture and Agro-based Industry Minister Datuk Mohd Johari Baharom and Deputy Information, Communications and Culture Minister Datuk Maglin Dennis D'Cruz.
