KUALA LUMPUR, 5 June 2012 - The eight-day camps of the Permata Seni Tari (PST) and the Permata Seni Koir (PSK) which began on May 27 have produced new back-up talents for the country in the respective arts fields.
The programme which is under the patronage of the Prime Minister's wife Datin Seri Rosmah Mansor aimed to give opportunities to the talented children to expand their talent at a higher level.
According to a statement here, both Permata Seni camps which are held every school holiday, were joined by 50 participants for the PST and 47 participants for the PSK, this time around.
The camps, which were handled by the Arts and Culture Department (JKKN), represented the foundation for the children aged between seven and 12 years to shape up their talent, said the statement.
Among the activities held were sight singing, choir and movement, Silat in dancing, dance and expression. The camps were also joined by experienced facilitators including choreographer Norzizi Zulkifli and vocal master Syafinaz Selamat.
