PETALING JAYA, June 6 2010 (Bernama) -- Women entrepreneurs need to develop a strong support network to create a more dynamic business environment and continuously explore the changing times, said the Prime Minister's wife, Datin Seri Rosmah Mansor.

"We cannot deny that the entrepreneurial ability of a woman entrepreneur will be restricted if she is left on her own," she said when launching the Women Entrepreneurs' Incubation Association of Malaysia (Persatuan Penjana Usahawan Wanita Malaysia) and the Malaysian Exemplary Women Entrepreneur's Award here Sunday.

She said the strength of a woman in business and entrepreneurship depended on the support network among businesswomen.

Hence, the establishment of the Women Entrepreneurs' Incubation Association of Malaysia is a welcomed move as it will create opportunities, provide exposure and proper guidance to budding businesswomen, she added.

Rosmah advised the association to be creative in creating business opportunities and guidance to its members as well as willing to share information and services among them.

At the function, Deputy Women, Family and Community Development Minister Senator Heng Seai Kei received the Most Caring and Popular Statesman Award from the association's president, Dr Ang Kui Hwa.

The association's adviser, Datuk Seri Dr Chua Soi Lek, who is also MCA president gave a personal donation of RM50,000 to the association.
