KUALA LUMPUR, May 16 2010 (Bernama) -- Despite their busy schedule, Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak and his wife, Datin Seri Rosmah Mansor, took time off to attend the wedding of the daughter of their personal driver, Mohd Noor Yit, in Keramat, near here, Sunday.

They were the guests at the wedding of Mohd Noor's youngest daughter, Rashidah, 25, held at the Ampang Jaya Municipal Council Hall at AU2.

Najib and Rosmah, who were attired in a pink matching baju Melayu and baju kurung, respectively, arrived at the venue at about 2pm and were greeted by the host as well as other guests who had been waiting for their arrival upon knowing that they would attend the wedding.

On arrival, the VVIP guests were ushered to the wedding dais to sprinkle scented water on the newly weds, Rashidah and Mohd Sharul Nizam Mohd Razim, 25, before joining the bride and bridegroom at the wedding feast.

Mohd Noor, who has been employed by Najib for more than 20 years, said it was the second time Najib and Rosmah had attended a wedding he had hosted, the first time being about five years ago when his second daughter got married.

Najib was then the deputy prime minister.
