Untitled document KUALA LUMPUR, April 5 2010 (Bernama) -- Fifty children from the Permata Negara programme will make a special appearance at a concert by Indonesian singer, Rossa, scheduled for May 29 in Bukit Jalil here.

Permata Negara Pioneer Project Committee chairman Datuk Siti Azizah Sheikh Abod said the children to be featured at the "Rossa-Melodi Cinta" concert were highly talented in choir singing and music as well as in the academic.

"The idea of featuring the children at the concert comes from Rossa's admiration for the efforts taken by the prime minister's wife, Datin Seri Rosmah Mansor, to polish their talents and potential in music," she told reporters at a news conference to announce the concert, here, Monday.

Siti Azizah said Rosmah had not only agreed to be the concert's patron, but also to attend the concert.

Apart from the Permata children, 20 other children from the Tunas Budaya group under the National Arts and Culture Department will also be involved in the concert.

Meanwhile, Rossa said the concert, her first in Malaysia, was meant to show her appreciation for her Malaysian fans for their support all these years.

"I want to present a beautiful concert for my fans here and I hope this concert will bring me closer to them," she said.

The concert will also feature popular local singer Aizat, and Indonesian bands ST12 and Ungu.

Tickets are priced between RM53 and RM353 and can be purchased by contacting Ticket Axcess at 03-77115000 or www.axcess.com.my.
