Rosmah Remains As Unisel Chancellor Until Year End - Khalid | 10/02/2010
Untitled document SHAH ALAM, Feb 10 (Bernama) -- The prime minister's wife, Datin Seri Rosmah Mansor, will remain as chancellor of Universiti Industri Selangor (Unisel) until the year end.

Selangor Menteri Besar Tan Sri Abdul Khalid Ibrahim said this Wednesday when asked by reporters to comment on a Malaysiakini website report that Rosmah would not be re-appointed as the university's chancellor after her term ends in June, according to state exco member Dr Xavier Jayakumar.

Jayakumar was also quoted as saying that the state government had not made a decision on the matter but it had been unofficially discussed with the menteri besar.

Abdul Khalid, however, said that whether Rosmah would be re-appointed as chancellor of the state government-owned university would depend on the decision of the university's governing board.

Asked whether Unisel had a candidate to replace Rosmah, Khalid said if there was, the name would be announced later.

Abdul Khalid had earlier chaired a state executive council meeting here.
